CRS Committee Training Opportunity

FEMAs Colorado Field Deployed CRS Training Opportunity

CASFM is sponsoring FEMAs Emergency Management Institute (EMI) field deployed Community Rating System (CRS) course!  This course (E-278) covers the CRS, a nationwide initiative of FEMA's National Flood Insurance Program.  The course describes activities eligible for credit under CRS, how a community applies, and how a community modifies an application to improve its classification.

There are over 18,000 flood insurance policies in Colorado that have approximately $15,000,000 in annual premiums.  Colorado communities that participate in the CRS program save their residents over $1,100,000 annually along with the other priceless benefits of being a CRS community!  In addition, this course will be geared specifically for Colorado communities and will include the effects of the upcoming 2012 CRS manual changes.
