Water Resources Project Manager – Denver, CO

Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH®), a multidisciplined consulting firm, has an opening for a Professional Engineer/Project Manager in our Lakewood, CO, office. Candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado. Must have a minimum of ten years experience in water resources. Must be skilled in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design of conveyance systems; capable of scoping, budgeting, coordinating sub-consultants; and successfully leading a design team. A Masters Degree in Civil Engineering or related field and/or Certified Floor Plain Manager Accreditation preferred. Responsibilities include project management, design of drainage and municipal projects and interfacing with clients. Limited field inspections, and travel, including overnight, required.

Position: Project Engineer / Senior Project Engineer in Water Resources Department

Project responsibilities include drainage support for transportation projects, design of hydraulic systems including drop structures, water quality enhancement projects, preparation and management of stream stabilization projects, and creating criteria manuals. A major portion of the position involves preparation of contract documents and management / coordination with clients, engineers and technical people.
The successful candidate will have a degree in civil engineering, professional engineer registration, and 5-12 years of experience in the hydrology / hydraulics field. ICON Engineering has an opening for a Civil Design Engineer with 0-5 years experience in water resource engineering. Assignments will include the design and construction of open channel systems including stream stabilization, bioengineering and hydraulic structures; stormwater quality and detention facilities; roadway drainage and culverts, inlets and storm sewers; and hydrology and hydraulic studies. BSCE required, advanced degree desirable. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, watershed and stormwater master planning; design and modelling capabilities and a general knowledge of current principles, practices, methods, and techniques of urban stormwater management. Experience with drainage-related tools is desirable including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, CUHP and AutoCAD / Land Development. This is a full-time, year-round position with a comprehensive benefits package.
