CASFM BARSTOOL
SESSION – GLENWOOD SPRINGS
On Thursday, June 23, 2011, the Northwest Region
of CASFM is hosting a “barstool session” from 3-6 PM at the Rivers Restaurant
which is located at 2525 South Grand Avenue in Glenwood Springs. The topic
will be “Issues with Floodplain Administration,” a discussion about the
inconsistencies, communication gaps and discontinuities regarding floodplain
administration. The discussion panel will consist of Kevin Houck, P.E.,
Senior Engineer at Colorado Water Conservation Board; David Kotz, P.E. at
Schmueser Gordon and Meyer; and Jared Walters, P.E. at URS Corporation. Each
panel member will make a short presentation on the topic and then open the
conversation to the attendees to share their experiences, good or bad, in
Floodplain Administration. Attendance at this session will earn 1.5 core
CECs for your CFM. A social with appetizers and beverages will follow the
session.
For those of you not familiar with the Rivers Restaurant, this
venue has an open deck on the Roaring Fork River and offers fine American
cuisine in a casual atmosphere with beautiful views of Red Mountain. Take
advantage of the date and location, bring the family, and make a long weekend
out of this event.
Please RSVP to me by Thursday, June 16th.
Thanks,
