SUBJECT:         Training Workshop

 

On Thursday August 7, 2003, FEMA Region VIII is offering a training workshop on the CRS and ALL –Hazards Mitigation Planning at the Regional Office in Denver, CO.  The Workshop will provide information on how to undertake a local mitigation planning process that results in a plan that will successfully satisfy the requirements of the CRS Program and the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan criteria of  the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 (DMA2000).

 

Location          The Regional office is located in the Denver Federal Center, Building 710, Denver, 80225-0268.  Use gate 1 to enter the Center off of 6th and Kipling. Parking is available on the North side of building 710A.  You will be asked to present your driver’s license to the security officer in building 710. The workshop will begin at 9 am and is expected to conclude at 3:30 pm. 

 

Attendance will be limited to 50 participants, and we are requesting that a representative of the local planning department accompany the floodplain manager to the workshop.  Please send a list, by name, title, telephone number and email, of interested participants to Ken and myself no later than August 4.
