Collins\, CO 80525 \nPresentation:    Not in Our Lifetime – The Boulder County Flood of 2013\n                         David Hollingsworth – Former Floodplain Manager\, City of Longmont \nThe 2013 Boulder County Flood is one of the largest floods in the history of Colorado with over 17 inches of rain in 4 days. The City of Longmont was located at the center of this flood. Longmont had 5 creeks at or above flood stage. The City spent 20 years constructing channel improvements including 3 large projects in the 3 years prior to the flood. These 3 projects saved over $60 million of potential damages. This presentation documents these projects and how they affected the extent of the flooding with photos and overhead videos.
