SUMMARY:Emerging Professionals Workshop
DESCRIPTION:We have been working with the Army Corps of Engineers on The Emerging Professionals Workshop Program which will be presented by the Colorado Silver Jackets. The Colorado Silver Jackets is a cooperative team of state and federal agencies with the common goal of improving floodplain management through coordination\, expertise in technical services\, and hosting educational opportunities. This workshop will focus on introductory level soft skills to be an effective steward of Colorado floodplains. Plan to come out of this workshop with a greater understanding of differing state and federal agencies roles\, communication strategies with clients\, and Colorado’s pivotal approach to floodplain management. While our targeted audience is individuals in the earlier portion of their floodplain management career\, attendance is open to any interested party. As an incentive we have also been certified for delivering 4.5 Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) Continuing Education Credits (CECs). \nPlease consider attending an in-person workshop at one of these locations.
