DESCRIPTION:The bus tour will start and end at the offices of the Southeast Metro Stormwater Authority (SEMSWA). \nThe CASFM Water Quality field trip is a daylong annual event. This year we will be visiting stream restoration projects as well as post-construction stormwater BMPs including level spreaders\, tree filters\, and bioretention basins. At each site\, engineers\, landscape architects and/or owners will share their experience and perspective. \nSites include: \n\nThe new SEMSWA demonstration garden\nCherry Creek Valley Ecological Park\nA 2-mile walk along the Cottonwood Creek restoration project\nAurora Sports Park level spreaders\nWillow Creek cascading rundown\,\nInverness level spreader\, and\nSEMSWA LID demonstration campus.\n\nThis trip fills up quickly so please register soon! The stops along the route with confirmed speakers are described below. \nITINERARY (6/6 times listed; 6/7 goes from 1:00-5:00pm )  \n9:00 AM Johnson Habitat Park – to talk about improvements to water quality and the improvements to the environment. Jeff Shoemaker – The Greenway Foundation Scott Schreiber – Denver Trout Unlimited/Metro Basin Roundtable \n10:00 AM Shoemaker Plaza – to talk about improvements to the plaza and stormwater monitoring. Jill Piatt-Kemper– City of Aurora Mike Bouchard– City and County of Denver Parks and Rec. Dept. \n11:00 AM Globeville Landing – to talk about North Denver Cornerstone Collaborative\, including Platte to Park Hill project.
